Mission Bay Boca Raton Florida Update

The Board has discussed updating the men’s and women’s locker room / restrooms at the main clubhouse.  Bids are being taken. Essentially, the idea is to rip down and replace both locker rooms / restrooms at the main clubhouse.

In addition, the Board discussed converting the current aerobics room to a party / rental room.  The current party / rental room would be converted to an aerobics room. The main reason is the current rental room is smaller than some people would like for gatherings.

I recently spoke with someone from the West Coast who asked how the local real estate market was doing.

I let him know things were holding up,  with prices still climbing slightly on a sequential basis.

He seemed surprised.

I indicated inventory is still relatively tight and interest rates remained low.

The latest information on Palm Beach County shows prices increased 5.6% on a year-over-year basis during December 2019.

The chart also shows inventory dropping in terms of months supply of inventory.

Information About Mission Bay Boca Raton Real Estate Market

Beyond being a Realtor, I am also a resident - and as such, I have a vested interest in knowing the market for homes in the Mission Bay community in Boca Raton.

I have access to a lot of real estate information and my background as a Wall Street Analyst gives me the opportunity to make sense of it all for my customers.  

I ran a report to see what the average price per square foot for homes located in the areas for the Mission Bay community in West Boca Raton looks like  - in the current market.

As you can see from the information above, the average price per square foot for all homes in the area was $175 in December 2019.

Also, the indication for the average price per square foot is “neutral” - meaning it is not favoring sellers or buyers.

Another pertinent fact the chart shows is the average price per square foot of sold homes was up 8.0% over the previous month, and 9.4% over the previous year, in December 2019.  

This information is interesting to those who are not in the market to buy or sell a home in Mission Bay, Boca Raton.  

However, it is important to those who are thinking of selling their home in Mission Bay or buying a home in the West Boca Raton area.

As a resident Realtor, I believe one of the reasons homes have become more desirable in Mission Bay Boca Raton is because of the clubhouse amenities.

An example is the clubhouse gym that was updated a few years ago.  The updated equipment, with television screens attached and on the walls, make it easier to get motivated to work out. 

The convenience of having a gym so close to home in the community helps too.  The fact that you do not have to pay extra beyond your HOA dues for a gym membership is “icing on the cake.”

Mission Bay offers classes as well that are no extra cost.  The community gym boasts Yoga, Aquacise, Zumba, Body Sculpting and Spinning classes.

The holiday party at Club Mission Bay had a special guest

this year : Santa Claus.  There was food, drinks, DJ,

bar area for the adults and games for the kids. 

Candy was handed out and there was an opportunity for homeowners

in Mission Bay to take pictures with Santa Claus.

Adults and children alike had a wonderful time all getting

together and getting in a festive mood.

Boca Raton, Florida: The Latest Mission Bay News: Reflections section : HOA Meeting

There was a meeting concerning the budget for 2020. 
Two budgets were presented: one with a slight decrease in the
HOA monthly dues and one that had a steady monthly fee from
last year.  The Board voted to keep the monthly HOA dues steady.

The ADT security system contract has ended and was
not renewed.

The paint contractor Hartzell has begun preparation for
painting of the community, which is planned to commence
at the beginning of 2020.
